Do you like to design and develop things from scratch? Is this your desire to design anything and everything right from the scratch.
Can you think of simply anything from new batteries, athletic equipment to medical devices and from personal computers, air conditioners, automobile engines to electric power plants and be the mastermind behind designing machines fostering all the innovations and amazing things coming from engineering.
Now this won’t come from a comfort zone, and that’s absolutely right! Well, while you might work on things consistently, there are few aptitudes that you might have inbuilt!

Now this won’t come from a comfort zone, and that’s absolutely right! Well, while you might work on things consistently, there are few aptitudes that you might have inbuilt!

1. Leadership
Leadership often calls for taking those difficult decisions, making sure the task is done no matter whatever are the circumstances. This won’t just need the technical skills but also the need to be rightly balanced even in those difficult situations. Are you ready?

2. Negotiation
What would we do, when we know the solution to the trend is not the way everyone is thinking? Are we ready to bring the best solution on the table, while trying to explain why we think it is the best?
The job skill would not only require us to bring the best on the table from our technical side, but we would also need to know how to flip the tables. If we know, what we are going towards is a good thing to do!

3. Active listening
As much as we would like everybody to hear our research results and ideas, we got to listen to ideas from others as well. Listening would help us understand the project well. Also, we might be bumped with ideas as we let others do the talking.

4. Coordination and Collaboration
And nobody can beat teamwork! But if we don’t have proper coordination in teams our team won’t be able to beat any competition or records. Coordination would seem more like, finishing your stuff on time so others can start on time. On the bigger note, we can expect the project to be completed on time!

5. Time Management
How do you feel about multi-tasking? If you don’t have any idea about it yet, then tell us, how did you feel, when you had two exams in a row and you had to manage many things together?
How did you cope up with that routine? If you managed to do well, then you tried to multitask and manage time well! Are you ready to do this again?

6. Mathematics
Calculations can never be out of trend when you are in engineering. To have the right designs and fittings, mechanical engineers would need the right calculations. And we cannot do this, while keeping maths on some other table! Take it along if you want to be in the field of mechanical engineering.

7. Creativity
There are many mechanical engineers already on the ground. Which kind of engineer do you want to become? Are you willing to be one out of the box or the one who simply follows the norm?
Out of the box norm will keep your passion burning right. Add your touch of uniqueness and bring your creativity on your ideas to keep going!

8. Problem Solving
All workspaces desire us to be their supermen and superwomen who can solve the issues and make their project/products, superheroes without cape!
How about your desire to solve a problem and how it would benefit you along with your firm. If you will just think of your firm or just yourself, the other one would not be able to cope up.
So keep trying to hit a balance between both of these!
