Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) was established in 1984 in Nagpur Maharashtra in an area of 14 acres in a serene sylvan atmosphere by Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur to create well-qualified engineers for the betterment of the institution and the nation. It is an autonomous and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University-affiliated institution aiming to become the most preferred institution to excel in innovation, research, and value-based professional education for society. For UG courses at YCCE: Candidates who passed the +2 exam or any other equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Information technology/Information Practices/Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/Technical Vocational Subjects/Business Studies (or passed in the diploma in Engineering and Technology) with at least 45% marks (40% for backward candidates, economically weaker sections, and specially-abled candidates belonging to Maharashtra state) and obtain a non-zero score in MHT-CET conducted by the competent authority (students from other states need to take JEE Main Paper 1/MHT-CET and obtain a non-zero positive score in this exam) to get admission to the UG course.

For PG courses: Candidates who passed UG degree in the relevant stream with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for backward candidates, economically weaker sections, and specially-abled persons belonging to Maharashtra) are required to take the GATE exam and should get the non-zero positive score to get admission to the PG courses.
