Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSN) was started in 1996 at a temporary location in Thuraipakkam near Chennai by Padma Bhushan Dr. Sivasubramaniya Nadar, then Chairman of HCL, and was affiliated to Anna University. However, it was shifted to its present campus in Kalavakkam (Thiruporur Panchayat) on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mamallapuram Road (OMR)), Kancheepuram in 1998 in an area of 230 acres with a serene atmosphere.

Capital Expenditure

How to Get Admission at SSN Kancheepuram

For UG courses admission is based on marks obtained by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (M + (P + C)/2). 65% seats are filled through single window counselling as per Anna University norms and the remaining 35% seats are filled by management based on merits.

For PG courses candidates are admitted on the basis of merit, however, GATE and TANCET scores are also considered but not mandatory.
