Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) previously known as Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College was established in 1984 as a private institution by Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti Trust in Nagpur, an orange city of India, Maharashtra in an area of 13 acres in a perfect placid atmosphere to produce the engineers with sincerity and dedication to the development of the nation. It was named RCOEM in 2010 after Shri Ramdeobaba, a saint who lived in the 14th century served the betterment of all the people irrespective of caste and creed by which he broke all castes and religious barriers. It has been being affiliated with Rhashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University since its inception and its courses got AICTE approval. It was granted autonomous status in 2011.

Campus Festivals at RCOEM Nagpur

Then, the Valedictory Function is organized where professors and dignitaries participate and deliver the speech to the students who completed their graduations and are ready to fly in the industrial sky. Besides these, prizes and awards are given to those who won in sports and games, and the rolling trophy is given to the best performing department in the institution.

Semicolon Tech Club is formed in 2003 to create a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and make them well-versed with advanced technology. This club organizes the festival COLOSSEUM every year in February for two days where many technical competitions and events like GROUND ZERO, EXPRESSO (Public Speaking), CODEMANIA, PAPER PRESENTATION, BOX CRICKET, etc., are conducted to induce the interest of the students in engineering and technology and allow them to showcase their technical skills.

How to Get Admission at RCOEM Nagpur

For UG courses at RCOEM: For Maharashtra candidates: passed the +2 exam or any other equivalent recognized exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of backward class categories, economically weaker section and persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) overall in these three subjects and they should have appeared in all subjects in MHT-CET and should obtain a non-zero positive score in that exam. And for candidates from other than Maharashtra: they need to take and score positive marks in JEE (Main) or MHT-CET exams, however, preference is given to those candidates who scored non-zero positive marks in JEE (main) over candidates who scored non-zero positive marks in MHT-CET.

For PG courses: Candidates who passed the UG degree with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved candidates in the above-mentioned categories) should have appeared the GATE and should get a qualified score in this exam to get admission to the PG courses, however, seats are also given if remain vacant after filling GATE-qualified candidates to those candidates who appeared in the GATE exam but couldn’t get a qualified score.
