NIET spent over Rs. 55.05 crores in 2021 as operational expenditure, of which a significant 60.62% spent on paying salaries to professors and supporting staff, a considerable 36.57% spent on maintaining academic infrastructure, and the remaining 2.81% spent on Seminars/Conferences/Workshops. Accessibility

As NIET is in Greater Noida Uttar Pradesh near Delhi, the capital of India, therefore it has a good transport infrastructure with some major railway stations and an international airport nearby. Both NDLS Railway Station which is at a distance of 40.6 km away and Indira Gandhi International Airport which is around 47.9 km away from the institution are available to reach the institution, therefore students from anywhere can commute to this institution easily.

How to Get Admission at NIET

For UG Course: Candidates who passed the 10+2 exam or any other recognized board exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the two main papers plus an optional subject without any grace and should have a minimum of 40% marks in each paper need to take and clear UPSEE/JEE main and admission is given through counseling conducted by UPSEE for 85% of UG seats (Candidates need to choose NIET as their preferences of choices in the counseling.), and the remaining 15% of the seats earmarked for NRI/Management Quota filled through direct admission based on the merit in the qualifying exam and/or respective entrance exam. 

For PG Course: Candidates who passed the UG degree in the respective stream with 50% marks (45% for the reserved candidate) need to take and clear the GATE/entrance exam conducted by AKTU and have to participate in counseling to get admission to the PG course at this institution.

Fee Structure at NIET
