Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology (NIET) was established in 2001 in Greater Noida Uttar Pradesh in an area of 13.9 acres in a lush green and serene atmosphere by the City Educational & Social Welfare Society (CESWS) to impart education to shape the students’ skills for creating the better feature for them. It is an autonomous university granted by the UGC and whose courses are approved by the AICTE accredited two of its departments by the NBA and affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. In 2020, the capital expenditure was Rs. 5.51 crores and it was around Rs. 4.57 crores in 2019. The spending of capital expenditure has been increased in 2021 when compared to the last two years.

NIET spent over Rs. 55.05 crores in 2021 as operational expenditure, of which a significant 60.62% spent on paying salaries to professors and supporting staff, a considerable 36.57% spent on maintaining academic infrastructure, and the remaining 2.81% spent on Seminars/Conferences/Workshops. Spending as operational expenditures were Rs. 53.61 crores in 2020 and Rs. 47.58 crores in 2019. The spending of operational expenditure has also been increased in 2021 when compared to the last two years.

ENZINIUS is the annual technical symposium organized for two days in February on the campus where a barrage of technical events like Strain in Brain, Water Rocketry, Technical Paper Presentation, Aero-Modeling, Modeling & Simulation, Hydraulic Lift, Treasure Hunt, Snapshot, Dirt, Robo Race, Robo Cannon, Ball Battle Field, and many more are organized to induce the interest of the students and make them well-versed in the current trending technologies, and it gives them a platform to showcase their technical skills. Besides this, NIET organizes various events to develop students’ leadership skills and personalities by leading the team and participating in the discussion. The air-conditioned auditorium provides a platform for students to showcase their artistry in arts and literature. 


As NIET is in Greater Noida Uttar Pradesh near Delhi, the capital of India, therefore it has a good transport infrastructure with some major railway stations and an international airport nearby. Both NDLS Railway Station which is at a distance of 40.6 km away and Indira Gandhi International Airport which is around 47.9 km away from the institution are available to reach the institution, therefore students from anywhere can commute to this institution easily.

How to Get Admission at NIET

For UG Course: Candidates who passed the 10+2 exam or any other recognized board exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the two main papers plus an optional subject without any grace and should have a minimum of 40% marks in each paper need to take and clear UPSEE/JEE main and admission is given through counseling conducted by UPSEE for 85% of UG seats (Candidates need to choose NIET as their preferences of choices in the counseling.), and the remaining 15% of the seats earmarked for NRI/Management Quota filled through direct admission based on the merit in the qualifying exam and/or respective entrance exam. 

For PG Course: Candidates who passed the UG degree in the respective stream with 50% marks (45% for the reserved candidate) need to take and clear the GATE/entrance exam conducted by AKTU and have to participate in counseling to get admission to the PG course at this institution.

Fee Structure at NIET

Students need to pay around Rs. 5.11 lakhs as total fees for UG courses at NIET, however, the saving grace is they can get a decent salary of Rs. 4.04 LPA at top companies, so they get back this amount within one-and-half years.
