National Engineering College (NEC) was established in 1984 by Thiru K. How to Get Admission at NEC
For UG Course: Candidates who passed or appeared in the +2 exam or equivalent to any other exam thereto are eligible to apply for UG courses, and admission is given through government and management quotas. Admission for 65% of the government quota is given through Anna University single window counseling, and the remaining 35% of the management quota is filled by the management association to all associate engineering colleges, and the government set a committee headed by retired justice to oversee the admission process, and the seats are filled based on the rank prepared by management association.
For PG Course: Admission is given through two parts: government quota and management quota. Candidates who passed UG degree in the respective stream are eligible to apply and seats for government quota are filled through single-window counseling by Anna University on behalf of the Tamilnadu Common Admission (TANCA). For the management quota, seats are filled based on the performance in the entrance exam conducted by the Association of Engineering Colleges.
