Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) was established in 2010 as the first multi-sector state private university by the act of the Odisha Legislative Assembly in Paralakhemundi Odisha in a spacious area of 120 acres in a serene sylvan atmosphere to provide education and technical training to the poor in the extreme left-wing affected area. However, its parent institution, Jagannath Institute of Technology & Management, was established in 1997, and it was undertaken by a group of academicians chaired by Dr. Mukti Kanta Mishra and D. N.
