Banasthali Vidyapith was started in 1935 in a mud house with 6 girl students as Shri Shantabai Siksha Kutir in the memory of Shri Shantabai who was the daughter of the founder late Shri Hiralal Shastri. It is located in Banasthali near Jaipur, Rajasthan in an area of 850 acres with a serene atmosphere. In 1943, undergraduate courses were introduced at this institution, and eventually, this institution got its name changed to Banasthali Vidyapith.
