B.M.S.College of Engineering (BMSCE) was started in 1946 on Bull Temple Road Basavanagudi, Bengaluru Karnataka by Philanthropist B. M. Sreenivasaiah. It has been the very earliest private industry initiative in technical education in India promoting the prosperity of mankind by augmenting human resource capital through quality technical education and training. Though it is run by the BMS Academic Trust, it is partially funded by the government of Karnataka. It was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University from 1998 to 2008. Then, it was awarded autonomous status in 2008.

How to Get Admission at BMSCE Bengaluru

For UG courses at BMSCE: A candidate who has passed in 2nd PUC / 12 Std / equivalent examination with English as one of the language and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks (40% marks in the case of SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/BioTechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue UG programs. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for determination of eligibility, and eligible candidate can take the KEA/COMED-K to get admission to UG courses.

For PG courses: The candidate who passed the UG course in the respective stream with 50% marks (45% marks in the case for SC/ST/OBC) with valid GATE/PGCET score are admitted to the PG course.
