Anurag University was established in 2020 in Hyderabad Telangana in an area of over 50 acres in a serene atmosphere as a private university as per the law passed at Telangana Assembly to create well-qualified engineers, however, it had been started with Lalitha Degree College offering BA, BSc., and BCom in 1998 by the Gayatri Educational and Cultural Trust which was established in 1990 and CVSR College of Engineering had been started in 2002. For UG courses at Anurag University: Candidates who passed the +2 exam or any other equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% need to take and clear TS EAMCET to get admission to UG courses for those who apply through the general category (candidates with 60% marks for those who apply for new courses & additional sections in the existing courses started in 2020-21 are admitted based on merits in AIEEE/JEE/TS EAMCET/AP EAMCET/Marks secured in 10+2 or Intermediate and TS EAMCET/AP EAMCET/Uni-GAUGE/AIEEE/JEE can be waived for exceptional students). For NRI and foreign candidates, performance in the AIEEE/JEE Main/TS EAMCET/merit in the +2 exam is considered to get admission to UG courses, however, exceptional students are exempted from taking TS EAMCET /AP EAMCET/Uni-GAUGE/AIEEE/JEE to get admission to UG courses.
