The National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh (NIT Arunachal Pradesh) was started in 2010 at a temporary campus in Yupiaas, Papumpare, Arunachal Pradesh as a member of a group of ten new NITs. However, its permanent campus is under construction at Jote, Papumpare in a lusty green environment with an area of sprawling 301 acres. It was established as the center of excellence in technical education to combat the growing need for technological professionals in India.
