National Institute of Technology Srinagar (NIT Srinagar) is one of the premier educational institutes in the northern regions of the country established in 1960 in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir as a regional engineering college. It has been one of the eighteen regional engineering colleges sponsored by the Government of India during the 2nd Plan situated in an area of 67 acres in a chill and serene atmosphere.
