How to Get Admission at NIT Puducherry
For UG courses at NIT Puducherry: Candidates who passed with a minimum of 50% or appeared for the +2 exam can take Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and should get the minimum cut-off mark/rank required at this institution. 50% of seats are allotted to students from Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam, and Mahe, and the other 50% of seats are allotted to students from all over India. Admissions are given through JoSSA counseling.
For PG courses: Candidates who have passed a bachelor’s degree in the respective stream with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 on a 10-point CGPA scale need to take GATE and should get valid GATE scores to get admission to this institution, and admissions are given through CCMT counseling.
