Capital Expenditure
In the year 2021, IIT Indore spent Rs. 21.9 crores as a capital expenditure, of which 18.9% spent on procuring books, journals and e-resources for library, significant amount of its funds, that is, 55.9% spent on buying new equipment and software for quality research, and rest of the 25.2% fund spent on creation of capital assets and other expenditures. In 2020, the capital expenditure was Rs. 31 crores, and in 2019, it was around Rs. 20 crores.
Operational Expenditure
In 2021, IIT Indore spent over Rs. 96 crores as an operational expenditure, of which 47.02% spent on paying salaries to professors and supporting staffs, a half of its funds, that is, 50.32% spent on maintaining academic infrastructures, and 2.66% spent on conducting Seminars, Conferences and Workshops. Spending as an operational expenditure in 2020 was Rs. 84 crores, and it was Rs. 76 crores in 2019. So, spending as an operational expenditure has been increased in 2021 when compared with the last two years.

Patents
Since IIT Indore has a good facility and good infrastructures, therefore, it filed 11 patent applications in 2021, filed 23 patent applications in 2020 and filed 13 patents applications in 2019, however, none was awarded.
Sponsored Projects
IIT Indore has many distinguished professors and research scholars in its faculty, it has published many research papers in prestigious Journals, so, many big companies are willing to sponsor IIT Indore, and therefore, it received Rs. 26 cores through the 320 sponsored research projects from 29 companies in the year 2021. In 2020 and 2019, it received Rs. 14 and Rs. 13 crores through 171 and 122 sponsored research projects from 20 and 18 companies, respectively.
Consultancy Projects
IIT Indore received Rs. 90 lakhs through 30 consultancy projects from 24 companies in 2021, and it received Rs. 61 lakhs and Rs. 31 lakhs through 41 and 18 consultancy projects from 37 and 15 companies in 2020 and 2019, respectively.

As the quality of teaching and infrastructures in IIT Indore is good, the graduation outcome is also good, because of these, 258 students who were admitted to UG degree courses, of whom 87.6% were awarded graduations and 65.7% got placements at top companies and 19 were selected for higher studies in 2021; 91.89% students were awarded graduations, of whom 85.06% got placements and 15 were selected for higher studies in 2020; and 94.87% students were awarded graduations, of whom 79.17% got placements and 15 were selected for higher studies in 2019.

In the PhD research programme, IIT Indore admitted 500 students to research, of whom 78 were awarded graduations in 2021, 81 and 53 students were awarded graduations in 2020 and 2019, respectively.

Median Salary of UG Graduation: UG graduates got Rs. 16.5 LPA in 2021, Rs. 13 LPA in 2020 and Rs. 10 LPA in 2019 at top companies.

How to Get Admission at IIT Indore

For UG courses at IIT Indore : Students who passed or appeared for +2 exam can take Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) advanced and should pass the minimum cut-off mark set by JEE IIT indore in JEE advanced exam.

For PG courses: Students who passed bachelor degree or appeared for final exam can take Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and should pass GATE to get admission to IIT Indore.
