Visvesvaraya Technical University Belagavi (VTU Belagavi) was established in 1998 by the Karnataka State Government in Belagavi (Belgaum), Karnataka to cater to the needs of Indian Industries for trained technical manpower with practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge. How to Get Admission at VTU Belgaum

Admission to UG courses: A second-year pre-university or XII standard or equivalent recognized by the university with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology, and Electronics. Qualified candidates can take and should clear JEE Main/Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). In this mode, 45% of seats are filled, in addition to this, 5% of super-numeracy quota (SNQ) seats are also made available for the meritorious and economically weaker candidates with tuition fee waiver

Admissions are also given through the Consortium of the Management of the Private College of Karnataka (COMED-K) where candidates need to take tests conducted by COMED-K in May for students from Karnataka and non-Karnataka states. In this mode, 30% of the total seats are filled and 25% of the seats are filled by the Management quota that happens in April.

Admission to 2nd-year 3rd-semester bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (Lateral Entry) shall open to the candidates who are holders of diploma or equivalent qualification as recognized by the university.
