North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) was established in 1984 in Nirjuli Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh in a sprawling area of 513 acres in serene sylvan atmosphere to create an ecosystem in the field of science and technology education and research by imparting innovative modular systems. Initially, it was established as a project of the North Eastern Council (NEC) for providing a system of education to create technical manpower at various levels in the North-Eastern region for the development of this region. It is a public, autonomous, and deemed university funded and controlled by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India (MHRD) and managed by the Board of Management comprising representatives of MoE, eight beneficiary states of the North-Easter region, AICTE, and educationists. Its undergraduate programs are accredited by the NBA.

How to Get Admission at NERIST Itanagar
