National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship & Management (NIFTEM) was established in 2012 in Sonipat Haryana as a public institution in an area of 100 acres in a lusty green atmosphere to address the various problems faced by the food industry as a one-stop solution provider. It intends to be a world-class center in food technology and management to cater to the needs of its stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, industrialists, exporters, policymakers, government, and existing institutions. It is an apex institution under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries having strong linkages with major industries, and it was given a deemed university status by the UGC to adopt innovation in teaching and research in emerging technologies.

How to Get Admission at NIFTEM Haryana

For UG courses at NIFTEM: Candidates who passed the +2 exam or any other equivalent exam with 50% marks in every subject with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science need to take JEE Main and get the required ranks/scores to admit to UG courses at this institution, and admission is given through JoSSA/CSAB counseling, however, if seats remain vacant after JoSSA/CSAB counseling, then admission is given through own counseling conducted by NIFTEM.

For PG courses: Candidates who passed a UG degree with a minimum of 60% need to take the GATE exam that has a 70% weightage and then take a personal interview that has a 30% weightage, and admission is given based on the cumulative scores in these both tests. If seats remain vacant, then NIFTEM conducts a CET test at its campus and candidates need to take that test that has a 70% weightage and then should attend the personal interview that has a 30% weightage, and admission is given based on the cumulative scores in these tests.
