Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) was established in 1973 near Agra, Uttar Pradesh in an area of 86 acres in a green serene atmosphere surrounded by industries and farmlands by integrating the School of Comparative Study of Religion, School of language, and School of Arts and Science under one umbrella to instill the dignity of the labor with creative work and to become excellence by the natural way. However, its root, Radhasoami Educational Institute was established in 1917 after the establishment of Dayalbagh in 1915. Since then, it has been evolving and spawning from middle school to intermediate university to college to deemed university. In 1975, DEI formulated a comprehensive innovative program for its UG degree courses, due to this, it got appreciation from the Government of UP, and subsequently, it was awarded the deemed university status in 1981 by the Ministry of Education Government of India for its excellence in the education, and the NAAC conferred it with “A” category and placed the first position among all the deemed universities in 2009.
